Independent agricultural services · Western Cape

Make every rand of input and every drop of water count.

Integri Ag is an independent agricultural services company. We measure your soil, your crop and your water, then make sure the right inputs go on at the right rate, so every rand and every drop works harder. We aren't tied to any fertiliser, chemical or equipment supplier.

Where farms lose money

The problems eating into your profit, and what we do about them.

Grain prices don't cover your inputs

Grain margins are thin, and fertiliser and lime are among the biggest costs per hectare.

What we do: We make sure the correct inputs go on, at the correct amount, in the correct place. No fluff, nothing you don't need.

Grain →

Irrigation costs keep climbing

Electricity and water cost more every season, and water that drains past the roots takes your fertiliser with it.

What we do: Comprehensive irrigation scheduling with soil moisture probes, to raise irrigation efficiency and make every drop count.

Irrigation scheduling →

Pests and disease spotted too late

By the time you can see it from the bakkie, the damage is done.

What we do: NDVI satellite monitoring flags stressed patches early, so we scout exactly there and you can act sooner.

Satellite monitoring →

Advice that comes with an invoice

When the person advising you also sells the product, “apply more” is always the easy answer.

What we do: We're independent and paid only for the advice, so “apply less” is an answer too.

Why independent →

The same block underperforms every year

One composite soil sample hides the problem, and the correction misses the patch.

What we do: GPS grid sampling, topsoil and subsoil, shows exactly where and why, and the prescription follows the soil.

Soil sampling →

Deficiencies found at harvest

A shortage costs yield long before it shows on the leaves.

What we do: Leaf analysis through the season catches shortages early, while there is still time to correct them.

Why independent

Advice that isn't attached to a sale.

Much of the agronomy advice a farmer receives comes from someone who also sells the product. Integri Ag works the other way round: we're paid for the advice and the monitoring, and nothing else — so the right answer can be "apply less", "apply nothing" or "apply it somewhere else".

Unbiased recommendations

We recommend products by what they contain and what your soil needs, from whichever supplier you prefer to buy from.

Measured, not guessed

Soil grids, leaf samples and probe readings come first. Programmes are built on your numbers, block by block.

Accountable over seasons

We follow up with leaf analyses and the next survey, so you can see whether the advice actually worked.

Services

Advisory and monitoring, from one independent agronomist.

Every recommendation starts with a measurement and ends with something you can act on — a programme, a map, or a file the spreader can read.

The agronomy package

One agronomist, the whole season.

Taken as a package across your participating hectares, so nothing waits for someone to remember to ask.

  1. 6 farm visits a season, guaranteedEach followed by a written report of what we saw and what to do about it.
  2. Soil and leaf analysesOn every crop, before and through the season, with an independent recommendation on macro- and micronutrients.
  3. Satellite NDVI imageryOn all participating hectares, so weak patches and early signs of pests or disease show up between visits.
  4. Fertiliser programmesComplete, targeted programmes on request, specified by nutrient.
  5. Irrigation schedulingSoil moisture probes read against refill and full points per root zone.
  6. BenchmarkingYour results compared against other production areas, so you know where you stand.

Advisory

What to apply, where, and how much

Smart soil sampling

Every land sampled on a GPS grid, topsoil and subsoil, so next season's results sit on the same points and you can see what moved.

0–150 mm & 150–300 mm · GPS logged

Soil mapping & interpretation

Lab results mapped for pH, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na and the micros, with base saturation and the ratios that explain why a block underperforms.

Ca 68% · Mg 12% · K 4% · Na 2% targets

Variable-rate prescriptions

Lime, gypsum, potassium and phosphorus worked out per zone and exported as a shapefile that loads straight into the spreader monitor.

SHP · John Deere, Case IH, New Holland

Fertiliser programmes

A season programme per block, built on the soil and leaf record and specified by nutrient — not by brand — and reviewed in season.

Monitoring

How the crop and the soil are responding

Leaf sampling & analysis

Sampled through the season and read against the crop's sufficiency norms, so a deficiency shows up as a trend rather than a surprise at harvest.

Trends per block, season on season

Soil moisture & irrigation

Capacitance probes read by root zone against their refill and full points, so irrigation follows what the profile holds instead of the calendar.

600 mm profile · refill points in mm

Weather stations

On-farm rainfall, temperature, humidity and leaf wetness, read alongside the probes for irrigation and disease-risk decisions.

Satellite monitoring & scouting

NDVI imagery per field through the season flags stressed patches early, so we scout there for pests and disease before the damage spreads. Several seasons of history also give productivity zones for variable-rate work.

Monitoring · your data

Everything we measure, kept season after season.

We keep every map, lab result and probe reading for every season we work together, so this season's numbers always sit beside last season's. It's your record, and it stays yours.

  • Soil maps per nutrient and depth, with the sample points behind them
  • Leaf results compared season on season, by block
  • Probe and weather station readings, with refill and full points per root zone
  • Satellite crop health and productivity zones per field
  • A written report after every visit, with prescriptions ready for the spreader

Crops we work in

Grain, vines, fruit, lucerne and vegetables.

The approach is the same across them; the norms, the sampling depth and the timing are not. Pick a crop to see the season we work to.

How we work

Four steps, in this order, every time.

1

Sample

Grid sampling across the land, topsoil and subsoil, each point recorded where it was taken.

2

Analyse

Accredited lab analysis, then independent interpretation against base saturation and the crop's own norms.

3

Advise

Rates per zone for lime, gypsum, K and P, with the cost and the expected correction stated up front.

4

Monitor

Leaf samples, probes and the next survey show whether the correction did what it was meant to.

Who we are · Landbou met integriteit

An independent agricultural company, hand in hand with farmers.

Vision

To be South Africa's leading independent agricultural company.

Mission

To work hand in hand with farmers, giving them the scientific, data-driven resources they need to improve their farming practices and reach their best productivity.

IntegrityAdvice we would follow on our own farm.
ScientificMeasured first, recommended second.
InvolvedOn the farm through the season, not only at planting.
ResponsibilityWe follow up to see whether the advice worked.

What you get back

A prescription you can hand to the spreader.

Rates are worked per zone and rounded to what the spreader can actually apply. Where a correction is larger than one pass should carry, we say so on the map rather than quietly capping it.

Questions

Questions farmers ask us.

What does an independent agronomist do?

We sample your soil, leaves and water, interpret the results and advise on what to apply, where and how much, without selling the products. You buy from whichever supplier you choose.

Where do you work?

Our office is at 2 Agri Boulevard, Durbanville. We serve farmers all over the Western Cape (from the Swartland and Sandveld to the Olifants River Valley, the Hex River and Berg River areas and the wine regions) and nationally.

What does the first farm visit cost?

Nothing. We walk the lands with you, look at what you already have (soil and leaf results, probe data) and tell you honestly where the gains are. There's no obligation.

Which crops do you work with?

Wine and table grapes, citrus, pomegranates, lucerne, grains, canola and vegetables such as tomatoes and onions.

What is included in the season package?

Six guaranteed farm visits with written reports, soil and leaf analyses on all crops, satellite NDVI imagery, fertiliser programmes on request, irrigation scheduling with probes, and benchmarking against other production areas.

Do you work in Afrikaans?

Yes, we work in Afrikaans and English. The whole website is also available in Afrikaans.
